Kelly ripa was born to an Italian father Joe, who is a labor union president and Irish and Italian descent mother Esther who is a homemaker. They all moved to Berlin, New Jersey, there Kelly grew up with her sister Linda, who is currently a children’s book author.

Though Kelly ripa never planned to come into glamorous world as none of his family member is in this field. But it was her destiny who took her inside it hand-in-hand. When she was in high school, she started performing in play called “the Ugly Duckling”. There was encouraged to pursue acting as a career. When Kelly was studying in Camden Community college she started taking roles in local theaters, which helped her in snatching a role in “Dance party USA” , a teen musical program.

Kelly ripa came into limelight when she got the role of Hayley Vaughan on soap opera called “All My Children” . It was a huge success which made her famous. There Kelly fell in love with Mark Consuelos who was playing a role in that opera. They eventually married and now they have three children named Michael Joseph Consuelos, Lola Grace Consuelos, Joaquin Antonio Consuelos.

Later in 2001, Kelly ripa replaced Kathie Lee Gifford and joined Regis philbin to co-host the popular program “Live with Regis and Kelly”. It was this show which helped her invading every household in north America. Kelly is still working for this show and getting huge publicity, fame and whopping money of $36000 per show.

Kelly ripa has a big award winning list. Three times she won the Soap Opera Digest Awards for playing Halyely in “All My Children”. Kelly has been nominated 8 times for Daytime Emmy award. She also won a Daytime Emmy award for co-hosting the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade

Kelly ripa has been on cover page of numerous magazines. She also won a award for hottest romance in 1997. Kelly also played a role in the film “The Stand-In” and she was named the best actress of 1999 by New York city film festival.
